Description

This is the spark ignition module for gas cooktops and ranges. It generates the high-voltage pulses that light the surface burners, restoring consistent ignition when multiple burners won't spark or there's no clicking when a knob is turned. What it does:

• Sends high-voltage pulses to the surface igniters when a burner switch is turned on
• Distributes spark to ignite gas at the burners
• Failure may cause no spark at any burners, weak or intermittent sparking on several burners, or burners that only light with a match

Install notes:

• Disconnect power and shut off gas supply before servicing
• Access location varies by model
• Move wires over one at a time to maintain correct connections
