Tom S Baltimore , MD January 11, 2016 Igniter was not sparking one burner Easy! Went on line. Found igniter repair video on AppliancePart Pro. Read my very brief owners guide. Unplugged range. Took the controls off my KitchenAid Superba gas range. Had to remove only 3 screws- very easy! 20 minutes including 5 to super clean front while apart. Got part number. Reassembled range. Found similar part on APP. One number different so called APP to confirm. Customer service person very helpful. Confirmed part and ordered. Showed up 3 days later. 15 minute install because I took my time. All burners sparking. Easy! Alexander S New York City , NY June 12, 2014 Appliance: KitchenAid Gas Slide In Range KGST307HBS9 One of the igniters didn't click I first replaced the igniter (but I kind of knew the igniter wasn't the problem). Then bought the spark switch and the problem was fixed. Replacing the Spark Switch Harness is super easy- just watch their video which is very helpful. We have a ceran cooktop so it is a bit more complicated to get to the knobs, but only like 5 min more work. Note: the appliancepartspro wanted to sell me the spark module but since all the other 3 igniters clicked and ignited I decided I would try the Spark Switch Harness first- and I was right. Mark S San Diego , CA September 19, 2014 2 of 4 burners wouldn't "spark" to start I took apart the control panel, and checked the switches - which turned out to be non-functional. I looked up the part online, found it at AppliancePartsPros.com and ordered it. It showed up a couple days later - and was a snap to replace and reassemble. I had lived for years (literally) with this issue - once I finally decided to tackle it, I probably invested 20 minutes and $50 to solve it. Why didn't I do that sooner?... Read More...
