Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer FAV6800AWW

Splash guard was tattered

Used a small knife to unlock the top cover. Removed the old splash guard. Cleaned the surface where the old guard was, and then replaced the guard. Dropped the top to lock the top cover back into place.

Melted tub cover and shredded splash gaurd

OPENED COVER AND PUSHED DOWN AT EACH TUB CLOVER CLIP RELEASING IT. PUT NEW COVER IN PLACE AND PUSHED DOWN AT EACH CLIP SECURING IT IN PLACE. TOOK 5 MINUTES TO COMPLETE. OPED THE LID USED SCREWDRIVER TO PRY SPLASH GUARD OUT OF LIP HOLDING IT IN PLACE PUSHED NEW GUARD INTO PLACE.

The maytag machine was leaking water underneath we saw on youbtibebthosbis from the rubber seal

We looked up the part and ordered from Appliance Parts. Very easy and quick delivery. My husband replaced the seal in 5 minutes and it works perfectly.
