This flame spreader sits between the burner base and cap to distribute gas evenly through the burner ports. Replacing a clogged or warped spreader restores reliable ignition and a steady, balanced flame for consistent cooking. What it does:

Install notes:

• Disconnect power and shut off gas; allow the cooktop to cool completely
• Remove grate and burner cap; lift off the old spreader (remove retaining screw if present)
• Align the new spreader over the orifice and igniter; seat fully and secure
• Do not clear ports with hard objects; use a soft brush and verify proper flame and ignition after reassembly
