Description

This idler tension spring restores proper tension to the dryer belt/idler assembly so the drum turns smoothly and the drive system runs quietly. Replaces a worn or broken idler spring to help prevent belt slippage and uneven drying. What it does:

• Provides tension for the idler pulley so the drive belt stays engaged with the motor and drum
• Helps prevent the belt from slipping, squealing, or coming off the pulley
• Reduces vibration and noise caused by a loose or broken spring
• Commonly replaced when the belt repeatedly slips or the dryer makes unusual noises
