Description

The Conversion Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool gas ranges and cooktops. It allows the unit to be converted from natural gas to liquid propane fuel. The kit includes all 5 orifices.

Causes of needing a new conversion kit include a change in fuel source from natural gas to propane or vice versa. It may also be required if any gas system parts like valves or regulators become damaged or fail inspection. 

Symptoms of improperly converted or missing conversion components include:

  • Incorrect burner flame pattern or color 
  • Inefficient or irregular heating 
  • Gas smell 
  • Visible yellow flame instead of blue

This Whirlpool OEM kit is compatible for use on Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, and some Jenn-Air and Kenmore models.

Stove configured for natural gas.

I reconfigured the stove for Propane. I did it without any instructions. I replaced all jets. Can be done much quicker then I did it with written instructions.
