Mark P Mundelein , IL October 14, 2020 Appliance: Maytag Washer MVWX500BW0 My Maytag bravos mct (Maytag commercial technology) model # mvwx500bw0 washer was not agitating properly and was not spinning at all Not wanting to spend hundreds of dollars on an appliance technician's service call, I searched online to troubleshoot the problems with my particular Maytag Washer Model Number MVWX500BW0. I stumbled across AppliancePartsPros.com and investigated there the most likely causes for my Maytag Washer's not agitating properly and not spinning at all. In order to acquire some additional information, I telephoned AppliancePartsPros.com and spoke with an extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful Customer Service Representative located in Tennessee. I ended up ordering online a Lid Latch Assembly (Part No. AP5263307 by Whirlpool), a Shift Actuator (Part No. AP6014711 by Whirlpool) and to play it safe, a Lid Switch Strike (Part No. AP6017583 also by Whirlpool) via the AppliancePartsPros.com website. I ordered the parts on a Wednesday afternoon and was most pleasantly surprised to receive the parts from a facility in Michigan the following day, a Thursday afternoon, utilizing only Standard Ground Shipping. I then carefully watched and reviewed the free online instructional "How To" videos at AppliancePartsPros.com and followed them precisely to install these brand new parts using only fairly common household tools. Fixing this myself not only saved me big bucks, but also afforded me the opportunity to thoroughly clean out all the dust, dirt and debris from behind, underneath and inside my six (6) year old washer. I must say that the videos are very detailed and absolutely outstanding! At the completion of my repairs, I did have to also access my Maytag Washer's Service Technician Manual. I found this manual located within a zip-lock sealed clear plastic bag taped at the factory to the inside of my washer's front panel. I needed to follow the factory manual's directions in order to "Calibrate" my washer so that it would again, function correctly. My washer now runs just like it did when it was brand new! I am sure that I saved hundreds of dollars doing this myself! I highly recommend AppliancePartsPros.com and will not hesitate to purchase from them again. I had a number of garbage bags of wet and dirty laundry to do and my washer has again been reliable and never run better. I thank you very much! Paul Q Bacliff , TX January 18, 2021 Appliance: Whirlpool Laundry, Commercial, Washer CAE2745FQ0 Latch lid switch strike & possible main board. OK this is one of those stories that can't help but encourage those of us who have absolutely no idea how appliances work and yet by simply refusing to pay such ridiculous repair prices can honestly get it done with a "FRACTION" of the cost. So here is my story & the scary unknown(s) BUT the incredible help offered to me to successfully win the ( I won't allow you to take advantage of me ) anymore conclusion. I had a 2 1/2-year-old Maytag coin wash machine that just quit working; after playing with it for some time I gave up like most people and called a Qualified repairman for diagnosis and repair. When he finished his assessment, he informed me that the repair would be $700.00! My first thought was - your out of your mind if you think I'm going to fork-out that kind of money for a simple repair job that would cover the cost of ( at least 1/2 the price ) of a new machine with a 2-year warranty. So at it I went, 1st I took the 3 parts he told me that need to be replaced, 2ndly I needed to find a DIY company who could supply the parts BUT who also offered to support you as you went through the learning curve if you needed it - and I did. I searched the almighty web and fumbled across AppliancePartsPros. So I took a quick gander of their support and settled on the traditional "let's take a chance" on what was being said in the way of pricing and support - mainly the support but the pricing was the cherry thrown-in! In my case, I took a bit of a gamble because while talking to the technician I thought I just might not need the 3rd item ( the mainboard and the most expensive of the 3 parts that were said needing to be replaced). This came about by the description of the problem I described and went ahead and ordered the other 2 items for just under $100.00. When I received them I was pretty anxious because I have never touched an appliance repair attempt but as it turned out, the computerization of these items ( at first a bit daunting in thought that I needed to be tech-savvy ) turned out to be so darn simple, I can't truly state the personal pleasure and confidence I gained by doing it myself and saving $600.00 dollars for simply trying it. When I followed the directions for removing and replacing the 2 parts, I held my breath and tried to start the washing machine; as you might expect - it light-up and looked as though it was going to work but it didn't. Now in my case, I either had not received the owner's manual or a tech sheet or misplaced them, so I had absolutely nothing to refer to for assistance. So here comes the real test, can I really get help from the company I bought these parts from? I placed a call and to my surprise, I was told that the washer(s) of today need to be programmed after this type of repair and it required a tech sheet to walk me through this setup; since I didn't have one the simply emailed it to me and so I printed it out. I truthfully spoke to the folks at Appliance Parts & Pro 3 times, twice for their support & once to tell them, I owed them lunch and a BIG thanks because it took under 1 minute to program my washer and it was back-up and working like new. Interesting to note, the entire group of folks that work here were the nicest, easiest, friendliest, non-hurried I have rarely encountered in the "let me hold your hand dept". So if your a bit afraid or intimidated, welcome to the club but more likely than not if you're bold enough to try the repair job yourself, chances are you're going to succeed because you have REAL support to Quickly and thank goodness Simply hold your hand through completion -like mine. In reflection, it sure beat the cost of $700.00 and now I have more than a bit of serious confidence that will go into my next troubleshooting and repair challenges and done by yours truly! Corrinne E Batavia , IL September 27, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW4850XQ1 Washer would not start due to non working lid latch I purchased the lid latch assembly and the lid switch strike. Following the clear video instructions for each part, my handy teenage son was able to remove the lid latch assembly and replace it with the new part as well as the lid switch strike. The washer is back to working perfectly for under $100. Appliance Parts Pros carry the parts to repair and at a lower cost than other online retailers. I saved about $30 compared to the other online site and I saved a service call fee. I'm so glad I found your site!! Thank you.
