Timothy B Williamsville , NY February 16, 2019 Appliance: Kenmore Undercounter Dishwasher 66514043K010 Dishes weren't clean, soap wasn't dissolving, not spraying Cycle would complete but dishes weren't clean (not even really wet) and soap wasn't dissolving. Could hear fill at start but maybe not spraying or filling again in cycle. Thought it was the control board, but actually this was not the error. Replaced the control board and same problem arose, only new control board version actually stopped cycle with message that dishwasher couldn't fill. Looking underneath the pump had somehow become dislodged from the bottom of dishwasher and was laying on floor, but nothing was leaking. Still though that might be part of problem so decided I was going to have to pull out dishwasher (which I was hoping I wouldn't have to do since new flooring made it a tight fit). Prior to this I decided to order entire pump assembly (middle part of the tub) including pump motor, etc and a new fill valve just in case. Once parts arrived, pulled out dishwasher and found out that it was actually the diverter (middle thing that controls spray) had very slight leak that had then corroded the contacts of the diverter sensor plug/board. Replaced everything with new anyway including diverter and fill valve, cleaned off wiring harness with electrical contact cleaner and a small wire brush, put everything back together and dishwasher is working/washing great again. Watched APPros youtube video on this and it helped to know what to expect. The repair is not that complicated for a serious DIYer-basically replacing parts. Took me a few hours, although I was checking everything out underneath and cleaning all the wiring connectors, etc. since I had the dishwasher out and probably wouldn't have it out for another 7-10 years. William M Rusk , TX September 29, 2014 Appliance: Model KENMORE Had an f4e1 code on my kenmore dishwasher Tried to call sears and they offered me zero help. Looked on line and people infered that it was a motor communication fault. I checked all the connection then just figured it was a motor problem. Got the motor number off the motor and called a salesman because I couldnt find it online, and he was more then helpful finding the correct part. I replaced the motor assembly and found the sevice manual behind the toe board to get the diagnostic/reset sequence. Now I have a dishwasher again and no telling how much time and money I saved. Thanks for all your help and I really appreciate all you guys have done. Michael F Black Diamond , WA November 18, 2023 Appliance: Kenmore Undercounter Dishwasher 66513963K017 Nose burst on the dishwasher pump. A replacement hose wasn’t available, but an entire replacement assembled sump, pump motor, and other components was. For $250 including tax and shipping , I basically replaced every moving part on my Kenmore Elite dishwasher. Replacing it took me a half hour tops. Take pictures of what you are tearing apart to ease reassembly. Clean all gaskets and mating surfaces thoroughly, and I recommend using a conservative amount of silicone grease on o-ring seals.
