Gary D Blanchester , OH April 03, 2018 Appliance: Model MER 5552 BAQ Rust on bottom door trim on Maytag range model: MER5552BAQ Used thick pad on kitchen table to hold oven door. Open door to first position (broil) and used soft leather gloves to lift up and remove. Door is heaver than it looks. Used screw driver to remove all screws from bottom and side trims. Removed side trims then bottom trim. It was not part of the repair, but I removed front glass to clean. There was some rust stuck on the glass from the old trim. Need to watch position of little spacers that are under the glass. With front glass in place, installed the bottom trim and screws not tight. Installed side trims and got all screws started. Tightened side trim then bottom trim. Installed oven door. Project time was extended by clean up and one of the screws was rusted and took some time to remove.
