Gregory E Halifax , PA March 12, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH5500BWW The clothes were very wet at the end of the cycle I removed the front door and the cover. Then I removed the top and tilted it back. I was checking the switches along the outside of the drum when I noticed the right spring hanging down. I then noticed the mount it attached to had worn through. Further checking revealed the spring too was almost worn through. I then checked the spring and mount on the left side and it too was in bad shape. I ordered a pair of springs and mounts from Appliance Pros in the afternoon and they were shipped the same day. I received them in 2 days and replaced the pair. The new springs have more tension than my 15 year old set. The washer works like new and does not shimmy as much when spinning. Thank you guys for your excellent service. Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
