Whirlpool WP3952056 Main Drive Motor Switch OEM Part

I tested the switches and determined it was the Drive Motor switch that was failing. The repair took a first timer 45 minutes to replace. Pretty easy in my humble opinion

After replacing the Fabric Select switch and washer clutch with no effect on the problem, I didn't want to throw more parts at it without expert recommendation. So I went to your web site, posted my inquiry, and received the following reply the next day from Joe Martin: You most likely have a "sticky" motor switch [AP3081302]. Once the motor is running the speeds can be changed successfully. There is a 30 or 40 % chance that the timer contacts are sticky as well. But that's an easy check with a meter; place the washer dial in a wash cycle, unplug the power cord and pull out the timer knob. Check across the tan and orange wires for a closed circuit. If the circuit is closed, the timer should be OK. I checked the timer (which was OK), ordered the part (from AppliancePartsPros.com of course), received it 4 days later, installed it within 20 minutes, and the washer now works like new. I checked the clutch and coupling and decided they were fine. When I removed the agitator I realized that the dogs were bad so I replaced them. I also replaced the lid switch.
