Description
This lid switch assembly kit is the washer's safety interlock. It detects when the lid is closed so the control can allow the machine to spin, helping restore safe, reliable operation when the original switch fails.
- Senses lid closed and enables the spin cycle
- Prevents spinning with the lid open for safety
- Common failure symptoms: no spin or intermittent spin
- Requires pressing or jiggling the lid to run; no audible "click" when closing the lid

- Disconnect power before servicing
- Access the switch under the top/console area; remove the old switch/bracket as designed
- Route wiring along the original path and secure away from moving parts
- Align the actuator so the lid reliably engages the switch; test spin operation before reassembly
