This infinite switch controls an electric cooktop's surface burner by varying power to the element, letting you dial in and maintain precise heat. Replacing a failed switch restores smooth temperature adjustment and reliable simmer-to-boil performance. What it does:

• Regulates AC power to the surface element based on the knob setting
• Restores full range of heat levels from low simmer to high

Install notes:

• Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
