Since it was a less expensive part, I tried it before buying a new burner element. The part arrived in 1.5 days and was an exact match for what I need. Installation was straight forward albeit a bit tedious with the numerous wire connections--replacing one at a time was more awkward but insured that there would be no mistakes. Most importantly, it worked perfectly and saved the cost of a new burner element. Next time I need a part, I know where I will buy it! Thanks to the Appliance Parts Pros Youtube video, I successfully opened up the cooktop and replaced the switch, as well as doing a good cleanup and replacing the foam tape. The video was a huge help.
