Guillermo S Chicago , IL March 06, 2017 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH4000AWW Neptune mah4000 had a no spin but did pump water out but not all of it I had the problem couple years ago I bypassed unbalance switch it worked fine for a couple years and had the same problem again so ruled out unbalanced switch. Door lock light on and checked made sure wax motor pushed out all the way too the second switch for spin check OK, so took a chance on displacement switch x2. My family loves to over load it and also replaced by passed unbalance switch and boom every thing went back to normal. Its also good to clean every thing when apart. Chris B Fort Lupton , CO October 25, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH5500BWW Maytag neptune washer would start spin cycle but not fisnish it The spin cycle would start at 8 minutes then count down to 6 minutes and go directly to zero. The drum would never spin. After doing some research online aobut the possibilities I opened the waasher up and checked the out-of-balance switches on the bottom and right side (facing the washer). THe bottom switch felt defective when I pressed the switch in. It did not depress smoothly but had a catch to it. I bypassed the switch with a home-made jumper and the washer went through the spin cycle fine. I replaced both switches. The switch on the side was a bit more difficult to fix because it had a retaining screw that could only be gotten to by loosening the side panel of the washer. Washer works great now.
