John K Havana , AR September 17, 2016 Appliance: Whirlpool Compact Automatic Washer LHW0050PQ4 Washer would not empty water & often would not start unless door was repeatedly slammed Water pump replacement was a breeze. The hardest part was getting to the back of the washer (installed in a motorhome). Switch replacement was a little trickier. Be sure to read the instructions shipped with the switch! Replacement switch has a different pin arrangement than the original. New switch help with washer starting problem, but did not entirely solve the problem. Door must be FIRMLY seated against seals to start washing cycle. This sometimes requires a second "push" on the door. Once a click is heard, the cycle soon begins.
