Description

This pilot thermocouple monitors the standing pilot flame and signals the safety valve so gas only flows when a flame is present. Replacing a weak or failed thermocouple helps restore dependable pilot hold-in and consistent burner ignition.

• Senses the pilot flame and generates a small signal to keep the safety valve/magnet energized
• Helps prevent gas flow if the pilot goes out
• Common symptoms: pilot won't stay lit, oven/burner won't ignite, intermittent flame dropout
• Resolve intermittent heating caused by a weak or mispositioned pilot signal

What's included: 1 thermocouple Installation notes:

• Shut off gas supply and disconnect power; allow the appliance to cool completely
• Access the pilot assembly; disconnect the old thermocouple from the safety valve and pilot bracket
• Route the new thermocouple along the original path; start all threads by hand to avoid cross-threading and do not overtighten
• Restore gas and check all connections with a non-corrosive leak-detection solution; relight/adjust the pilot per the manufacturer's instructions
