Description

This part shields and positions the temperature control's sensing bulb inside the control housing, helping the control respond accurately and keep cabinet temperatures stable. Replace a cracked, deformed, or missing barrier to restore consistent, predictable cooling. What it does:

• Shields the cold-control thermostat/capillary bulb from direct airflow
• Helps the temperature control sense average compartment temperature and cycle correctly

• A damaged or missing barrier may contribute to temperature swings or frequent control adjustments

Install notes:

• Disconnect power before servicing
• Access the control housing; remove the dial/cover and any retaining screws or clips
• Note the factory routing of the thermostat capillary; install the barrier without kinking or sharply bending the sensor tube
• Reassemble, set controls to mid-range, and allow up to 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize
