Description
This lower oven thermostat regulates oven temperature for accurate baking and roasting. Replaces a failed temperature-sensing thermostat to restore consistent oven heat and reliable cooking results. What it does:
- Senses oven cavity temperature and signals the control to cycle the heating element
- Stops oven overheating or underheating when the thermostat is functioning correctly
- Commonly replaced for inconsistent temperatures, oven running too hot/too cold, or no temperature control
- Works as the lower-oven temperature regulator in ranges with separate upper/lower oven controls
