Description

This bimetal defrost thermostat controls power to the evaporator defrost heater. Replacing a failed thermostat restores proper defrost cycling, helping prevent ice buildup on the coils and safeguarding the unit from overheating during defrost.

• Senses evaporator coil temperature and opens/closes the defrost heater circuit
• Protects against overheating by cutting heater power when the coil warms
