Description
Cold control that regulates cooling cycles to maintain set temperatures in the fresh-food section. Replacing a failed control restores more consistent temperature control and helps prevent food spoilage. What it does:
- Controls compressor/cooling cycles based on the selected temperature setting to maintain cabinet temperature.
- Common symptoms: refrigerator running constantly, not cooling, or temperature cycling irregularly.
- Interfaces with the fridge control housing and wiring to open/close the cooling circuit as needed.
What's included: One cold control thermostat. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair.
- Access the control housing/panel to remove the old control; note wire locations or take a photo for correct reinstallation.
- Handle any attached sensor or capillary tube gently to avoid kinks or damage.
- After installation, restore power and the refrigerator reaches and holds the desired temperature.
