Thomas G Sanford , NC November 12, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer MAV2757AWW The wash cycle would not change from rinse to drain to spin The timer seemed a reasonable remedy for the problem, so I removed the old timer and replaced it with the new. I used screw driver and nut driver to remove the back panel cover, unplugged the plugs from the old timer, popped off the knob cover of the cycle selector, used narrow needle nose pliers to squeeze the release of the timer and removed the defective timer. The replacement timer slotted back into place, I reconnected the plugs, popped the cycle selector and cover back on and tested the repair for success by running a test wash cycle. The cycles change from rinse to drain to spin as designed. Success! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers

Total repair time was half hour at most. I was pleasantly surprised to see my parts were shipped on a holiday weekend ekend and I received them the day after the holiday.
