When removing attachments, do them one at a time and install them on new rack as you go. Watch for the small release tabs on the attachments (baskets, rollers and tine holders), "gently" put pressure to release; remember these units have been in hot water and they are brittle. These parts worked perfectly with the existing "snap on" parts that moved over from the old upper rack. I am not happy that two tines on a Sears (expensive) dishwasher have rusted in just 12 years. We have already replaced the silverware basket, and notice that two additional tines are rusting. We had an in-expensive GE dishwasher in our other house -- and, after 21 years of use, we never needed a repair nor any replacement parts. Quality has changed drastically over the years. Read More...
