Description

This surface burner spark electrode creates the electrical arc that lights the gas at your cooktop/range burner. Replace a cracked or fouled electrode to restore quick, reliable ignition on the affected burner and reduce repeated clicking.

• Generates the high-voltage spark that ignites surface-burner gas
• Promotes fast, consistent ignition and stable flame startup
• Common symptoms: burner won't light, lights intermittently, or sparks weakly at one burner while others work
• Visual clues: cracked porcelain insulator, bent tip, or heavy buildup on the electrode

• Disconnect power and shut off gas supply before servicing
• Remove grate, cap, and burner head to access the electrode
• Transfer mounting hardware from the old electrode
• Route and reconnect the lead securely; keep it away from heat and sharp edges, then test for proper spark before reassembly
