William B Nyssa , OR October 31, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer FAV6800AWW I have a maytag fav6800 aww and the tub bearings failed due to a failed tub seal I pulled the tub from my machine and separated the inner tub from the outer tub and knocked out the two bearings from the outer tub and installed two new bearings and a tub seal from this website... i do have to warn everyone that when you order a new seal, it comes with a new seal race that is inside the seal and looks like the seal itself. remember to remove the old seal race before you install a new seal. also keep the new seal race inside the seal when you install it. this seal will place the race where it needs to be on the shaft. i ruined my seal teying to push a new seal over an old one. it destroys the new seal...this site has quality parts and i would recommend any purchase. You would think that washing clothes all the time it would be clean as a whistle but that is not the case. Read More...
