Description

This part is a replacement electronic control board for a water and ice dispenser on a refrigerator. It is manufactured by Whirlpool. The control board is responsible for facilitating all dispenser operations, including dispensing ice and water, and turning the light on or off. When the user selects an action, a signal is sent to the control board, which then activates the appropriate system.Electronic control boards can last for many years. However, exposure to moisture and general wear and tear of contacts and soldered parts may lead to failure. If the control board has failed, the dispenser will not function, or will function erratically. Replacing the control board will require using a flathead screwdriver to pry off the dispenser cover. Locate the board, disconnect the wires, and remove it. Install the new board by following the steps in reverse.This genuine OEM part is sold individually. It fits Whirlpool brand refrigerators.
