Description

This is a Whirlpool oven control board. It manages and monitors oven temperatures and features a digital display. The control board can short out due to power surge or exposure to excessive heat. For example, if the oven's self clean function is run too long or too frequently, parts of the control board could melt or otherwise malfunction. If the user interface is blank or not responding to input, the control board has likely shorted out.Before installing this part, be sure to cut power to the appliance and allow it to cool completely. The stove may need to be pulled away from the wall to access the screws holding the control panel in place. Remove the screws from each side of the control panel to gain access to the old control board. Disconnect any wire harnesses connected to it and remove any screws mounting it in place before installing the new part.This is a genuine OEM part compatible with ranges manufactured by KitcheAid, but may also work with other Whirlpool brands, including Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and others.
