Sue N Petaluma , CA August 22, 2016 Appliance: Model GW397LXU506 Valve would not turn The burner valve was stuck and would not turn. I removed the Knobs and the four screws under the knobs two side screws & the four screws under the keypad panel. I removed the ground wire so the panel rolled out of the way I used duck tape to hold the panel and secured it to the grates my valve was the right side inside. I just bought a Dewalt Right Angle Drill Adaptor Model DWARA 50 for another project and it fit right into the bolts securing the valve to the manifold . I turned the shaft with an open end wrench the Neiko 03044 A Mini Ratcheting Screwdriver Amazon sells will work. You need something like this or you will not be able to remove and install the valve and the valves on the ends will be more difficult as there is less room. Be careful removing the igniter switch I broke one of the legs but it still worked I think it just pulls off It looked like the legs were clipped to the valve.
