Scott S Tequesta , FL September 06, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Universal-Refrigerator - P5995344453 MRT18N3JW1 Ice cubes too small hollow and small leak in solenoid valve The problem started when the port into the icemaker became slightly clogged with a piece of ice, thus restricting the water flow, and yielding small cubes or unusual hollow cubes with thin outer surfaces. Thats when I noticed a small leak in the solenoid valve also. The solenoid valve was the type that has a snap action port on the output side instead of the threaded fitting. I'd suggest the solenoid valve with threaded fittings..........more reliable.
