Adam H Clayton , MO January 02, 2015 Jen air gas oven igniter failed I ordered a new igniter based on serial numbers. Maytag manufacturers Jen Air so it wasn't hard to order a replacement. Taking everything apart was straight forward. The connection on the new part was different from the old part so I cut the old connection and spliced it on the new part, make sure you use the insulating wrap from the old part on the new spliced connection to protect it. The hardest thing was routing the connection back through the oven. I manufactured a small wire puller from a close hanger and that worked just fine. 1 hr of work from start to finish.
