Description

Located at the bottom of the basket, this impeller-style washplate rotates to move laundry and water for effective cleaning. Replace a cracked or stripped washplate to restore proper wash action and reduce noise and tangling.

• Creates water currents and friction to move clothes during the wash
• Transfers drive motion through the hub; worn splines can slip
• Helps circulate water and detergent through fabrics
• Common symptoms: weak or no agitation, grinding/clicking, wobbling/loose plate, visible cracks or broken fins

Includes: One washplate

• Disconnect power and shut off water before service
• Remove the center cap and bolt; lift the old washplate straight up (work evenly if stuck)
• Inspect and clean mating splines; press the new washplate fully onto the shaft
• Reinstall and tighten the center bolt, replace the cap, and run a test cycle
