White Outdoor Edger Deflector & Chute

This lower chute is a genuine MTD part. It is manufactured as a replacement part for snowblowers and edgers. The lower chute helps guide snow (on a snowblower) or debris (on an edger) away from both the engine and user. Especially on a snowblower, if the lower chute is not working properly, the equipment can not perform its job properly. Since the chute is used heavily and is located on the outside of the machine, it is prone to damage. Replacing it does not require disassembling the engine, though proper safety precautions--such as disconnecting the spark plug, emptying the fuel tank, and completely cooling the engine--should be taken.
