This cylinder head is made for use in many types of lawn and garden equipment. The cylinder head is located on top of the engine in the machinery. It is tasked with making sure the combustion chamber is sealed shut. The gap between the engine and the cylinder head will be filled using a head gasket. Another responsibility of the cylinder head is ensuring the cylinder is constantly lubricated. If the cylinder head isn't working, it may cause low oil levels, lowered engine performance, and exhaust smoke. To inspect the cylinder head, the grass shield and screen should first be removed. Remove the engine cover by taking out all of the bolts that secure it. Remove the engine shroud and the bolts that connect the head to the pump bracket. The cylinder head will be located under the valve cover. Remove it and install the replacement part before using the tool. This cylinder head is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. The cylinder head is created to be compatible with lawnmowers, string trimmers, edgers, log splitters, and wood chippers manufactured by MTD, Cub Cadet, and Craftsman.

This genuine Midwest Engine valve cover can be used as a replacement part for the small engines of outdoor appliances such as lawn tractors, lawn tractors, snowblowers, wood chippers, leaf blowers, tillers, and edgers. The function of a valve cover is to prevent dirt and debris from entering the infrastructure of the engine as well as to prevent engine oil from leaking. The valve cover of a small engine outdoor appliance might have to be replaced if it suffers damage that results in oil leakages or accumulation of dirt and debris in the engine. Symptoms of damage to the valve cover can include oil leaking from the valve cover or the surrounding area, consistently low oil levels even after refilling, engine misfires, or oil dripping into the exhaust and emitting a burning smell. Before more severe damage occurs, it is best to remove and replace the damaged valve cover. Remember to always wear gloves when handling, repairing, and operating outdoor equipment. This valve cover is compatible with the following brands: Midwest Engine, Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Simplicity, Lawn-Boy, MTD, Craftsman, and Cub Cadet. This part is sold individually.
