This is the agitator support assembly that connects the agitator to the drive system inside a top-load washing machine. It provides the structural mounting point that allows the agitator to rotate and move clothes through the wash water. Replace this assembly if the agitator wobbles, does not agitate properly, or you notice the washer is no longer cleaning clothes effectively due to weak or absent agitation.
This is a rubber shaft seal that fits around the transmission or gear case shaft in the washer. It prevents water and detergent from leaking into the gear case and damaging internal components.
