Spark module that controls the ignition sequence for gas range surface burners, producing the spark needed to light burners. Replacing a faulty module restores proper sparking and helps eliminate persistent clicking or no-ignite conditions. What it does:

• Generates high-voltage sparks to the burner igniters so gas burners light reliably; failure can cause burners not to ignite.
• Directs spark timing for individual surface burners; symptoms of failure include continuous clicking, intermittent sparks, or one or more burners failing to light.
• Works with the range's ignition system to coordinate spark and valve operation; does not include igniters or valves.

• Disconnect electrical power (and gas supply where applicable) before beginning any repairs.
