This is a genuine lock nut replacement. This is a general piece of hardware that is often used on several types of lawn and garden equipment, including in engines, housing, and other areas. The exact application of this part will vary based on the unit. The lock nut is used to create a more secure seal than a standard nut. When properly secured, the lock nut tightens to a bolt and uses an extra locking washer with teeth to ensure a snug fit.If lock washers do get damaged or lost, they need to be replaced immediately with a genuine OEM replacement.
