Heater (Heating Element Assembly)

This heating element assembly produces the heat needed for clothes drying. Replacing a failed heater restores normal drying performance and stops long-dry or no-heat symptoms in compatible electric dryers. What it does

  • Generates the hot air used to dry clothes when the dryer is running.
  • Commonly replaced when the dryer produces no heat or takes much longer than usual to dry loads.
  • Can be damaged by wear, debris, or a failed thermal cutoff; can cause blown fuses or tripped breakers in some faults.
  • Works with the dryer's thermostats and thermal fuses to regulate operating temperature.
