The Knob, Burner is an OEM part for Whirlpool cooktops and ranges. This knob allows users to control the burner settings, adjusting the flame size and heat output for precise cooking. It is designed to fit securely onto the burner valve stem and provide a user-friendly interface for operating the cooktop.

Causes of a bad burner knob can include regular wear and tear, physical damage such as cracking or breaking, or exposure to high heat. A faulty knob can make it difficult to control the burner or render it inoperable.

Symptoms of a bad burner knob include:

  • Difficulty turning the burner on or off
  • Inability to adjust the flame size properly
  • Loose or wobbly knob
  • Visible damage or wear on the knob

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

  • Provides a stable, easy-to-turn grip when original knob is cracked, stripped, or missing
  • Helps ensure accurate user input when the control pointer or index mark is aligned
  • Commonly used when the knob will not stay on, spins free, or temperature settings are hard to select
What's included
  • One replacement thermostat control knob
Install notes
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing to avoid shock or injury
  • Pull off the old knob (firm pull or use a flat tool if needed) and press the new knob straight onto the control shaft until seated
