The Belt is an OEM part for Speedqueen washers. Transmits power between the motor and pulley system to turn the basket. Without a functioning belt, the washer will be unable to properly rotate the drum and agitate laundry during cycles.
Causes of a bad belt can include cracking, stretch wear or fatigue caused by age, prolonged use or excessive loads. Damage may also be due to slipping off pulleys.
Symptoms of a bad Belt include:
- Noise or squealing coming from the drive area
- The basket or agitator not spinning or turning slowly
- Motor overheating due to increased load from a slipping belt
- Belt slipping off or breaking completely
