I replaced both the solenoid (part of the inlet valve kit) and the pressure sensor. Online research suggested my intermittent issue with the cold water fill being just a trickle and then causing an error was likely due to one or both of those two parts failing. Since they are in the same spot it was suggested (and I agree) that it is best to replace both at the same time. I found a few videos on YouTube about other dryers that gave me enough information to figure out my own. I was able to pull out the heater element and replace it with a new one that arrived the day after I purchased it. I also replaced the thermal fuse and thermostat. Read more

The belt/Idler kit arrived next day after placing the order. The included directions were very clear with an exploded diagram. Four bolts remove the motor/pump assembly from the machine, three clips release the pump from the motor, then four small nuts remove the support brace from the motor to get access to the pulley and lever. Reverse order to re-assemble. The idler/pulley was in good condition. However, the kit is just a few $ more and replacement was only few extra steps. The worn belt... Read more

Speed Queen is out of stock in the washer door for this model and the appliance repair company said it was on back order indefinitely. I had saved the broken door so I ordered the inner plastic liner and the glass separately and used the saved outer door part and the screws and bracket and the mechanism that inserts into the machine itself to lock the door in place and sandwiched everything together and after a few attempts at the correct order of putting it all together, managed to get it... Changed the drum rollers, belt, and idler pulley wheel. Was not sure which one was making the noise but all three were well used and many years old. One of the drum wheels was the culprit. very easy and straightforward repair with no assistance. Read more

Pulled the broken knob off and replaced it with the new one. Took about 10 seconds I think...maybe less. Read more
