Benjamin A. for Model Number shu3336uc u12 HI, I've have a problem for a few days. the dishwasher will not clean very well when the cycle is finish. I have standing water 1/2 on the grid. I can hear the pump, but the water is not going to the drain, I need to remove the water myself. if I do not, I think that the dishwasher runs with old water. When i remove the water, and run with nothing inside, the water is clear, but remains in the bottom of the dishwasher. Thanks for the help.
Answer Benjamin, You're probably correct on all of the statements you made, But there are a couple of things to check before you replace any parts. You should first check the drain hose for kinks and clogs, You could disconnect the drain hose from underneath the kitchen sink, and select a drain cycle, and allow the water to drain into a bucket. This will usually flush any debris or clogs that may have developed in the drain hose. Then if all's OK, you'll need to access and remove the drain pump 00167082 and check the drain chamber for debris or damage and the vanes on the impeller are in tact.
