Mike for Model Number shv46c03uc We love this Bosch dishwasher. But it stopped working some months ago. It heats up the water and pumps it out. But the spray arms don't turn and the water flow seems low. It also makes a grinding sound that it never made before. What part would cause this to happen? Is this a common complaint with this model? The unit is approximately nine years old.
Answer Hello Mike, Remove the filters in the bottom of the unit and use a wet/dry vacuum to get the water out. Use a Torx bit to remove the single screw holding the impeller protector in place. Pull this part out and use the wet/dry vacuum again to clear the impeller area. This will normally remove a piece of debris, (piece of broken glass, bone fragment, etc...), and re-install the impeller protector and retaining screw. If trying the unit does not produce desirable results, replace the pump. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 11, 2014
