John M for Model Number SHY66C05 UC/14 (FD8301-)

Dear Expert(s), Following the advice from the Expert to my initial question, the washer now seems to run fine with no more water accumulating in the base pan. (only tried the Quick Wash cycle). It runs, it heats, it sprays (top and bottom), it drains and it dries. BUT, it gets stuck at 1 min at the end of the cycle. It actually stops completely, with no more water in the machine and the dishes are hot and dry, so it’s basically done. NO drain or pumps is running, but it does not count down to 0 (zero) and gives the audible “cycle complete” beep. I have waited as long as 10 mins to see if it kicks back in, but NO! The way I have “fixed” this is to open the door and turn the machine off for about 1 min. Then, turn it back on and close the door. The display now reads 4 mins. (The first couple of runs it read 2 mins after off and on). I can now hear the relay(s) clicking and it counts back down to 2 mins. At that point, I hear the drain kicking in and the Circulation Pump starting. This goes on for about 1 min while the machine counts down to 1, then to 0 at which point it stops and gives the audible indicating complete cycle. Having researched this, I keep running into a bad relay (under capacity), a burned solder joint or a faulty Main Board….? So, I took the board out and opened it. It looks fine and I see no burned or bad solder joints (my model is not on the Bosch recall list). So, I put everything back together and ran a new cycle (Quick Wash), but with the same result; stuck at 1 min. So, could it really be the board ($$$) or a relay or do I just need to “re-set” or “re-code” the machine since I have had it open with the Circulation Pump out and also replaced 2 parts ([Bosch # 00425458] and [Bosch # 00499500]) ? So far, I have not been able to find any information on how to "re-set" my specific model. This is not a huge problem, but more a nuisance that I can work around. But, it’s not supposed to work this way besides I have to be present when the machine is running. So, I would be very grateful to any suggestion(s) on why this happens and how to fix it.

Answer

John, This model does not have a reset feature for the control board and you would want to replace the board. The relay would also be located on the main control.
