Bill S. for Model Number SHE44C06UC/38 A solder joint on my control board has burnt. I believe it is the heater relay switch connection. Is the problem the control board or is the heater causing the problem?
Answer Hello Bill. If a solder joint has burned it was either caused by excessive current flow from a shorted component or just a weak solder connection. I would check from ground to each of the wires that connect to the board and insure I had no complete circuits directly to ground, (less than about 5 ohms to ground would be a short). If you find this, follow that circuit to the source of the problem. If not, the control solder connection just failed due to electrical stress and replacing the board should take care of it. Sure hope this helps you out! Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, February 24, 2012
