Brian for Model Number SHE4AM15UC/01 Hello, I have a 12 year old Bosch dishwasher model # SHE4AM15UC/01. It has stopped getting hot during the drying cycle and the "Sanitized" light no longer comes on. The repairman from Bosch told me I needed a new heat pump, which I ordered ($200) and installed, but that didn't fix the issue. I'm not sure what to try next. Also, is there a way to determine if the original heat pump really is defective by measuring continuity across the spade connectors? Thank you.
Answer Brian, the heat pump element can be tested for resistance at the 7 wire connector and it should measure 8.9O from pin 2 to pin 3. The NTC resistance should be 10KO from pin 4 to 5, and from pin 5 to 6. There should be a resistance of 20KO from pin 4 to 6. If there is not a loose connection or a damaged wire, the failure would likely be in the user interface control 00668460 if the other selection buttons properly operate. Read More...
