Earl for Model Number Bosch SHE 44co5uc revolution 500 series Dishwasher does not heat water but goes through full wash cycle. When I add one gallon of water to the unit , the dishwasher works ? Does this mean the fill valve needs cleaning or replacement ? If this is the problem which is the correct model # of fill valve I might need? Thank you
Answer Earl, If the dishwasher is filling with water and going through the complete cycle but does not heat then it would not be a valve issue. If there is cold water running into the dishwasher then it would be an issue that the water supply is not hooked up to the hot water supply and would need to be switched. If the water is not getting hot enough the dishes will not clean properly. If the water is hooked up properly then it sounds likely that the heater is going to be the issue with the unit.
