Tjw for Model Number Bosch shv53t53uc/07 Bosch shv53t53uc/07 dishwasher was off. Drain pump activated spontaneously and now runs, no water in bottom of dishwasher. No display. Unplugged and attempted to reset but same behavior. No issues prior to this problem. Dishwasher ran fine the day before.
Answer Hello, thank you for contacting Appliancepartspros.com. Your dishwasher has a basin underneath the tub that is designed to capture any water that may leak. There is a round foam disk that, when water is present, trips a switch that turns the drain pump on. Remove the front panel or p[plate and locate the leak. It can come from the water valve, or various pumps and motors. Clean out any water that is in the basin, and it will take care of the issue. Read More...
