Maria G for Model Number Thermador CMT-21 Both ovens have this problem. They heat up but not to the desired temperature because the upper heating element turns red and heats up, but the bottom element doesn't at all. An authorized Thermador company said there is no use fixing it because there are no available parts since it's discontinued. But if I can buy a part here, what part might be defective so I can buy and have it installed? Thanks.
Answer Maria, You would want to check to see if there is 240 vac getting to the bake elements 00367530. If there is then it would be a bake element that would need replaced. If there is not then this would most likely be the thermostats or selector switches that is causing this issue.
