Peter for Model Number Thermador RDDS30V I have a thermador RDDS30V oven/range. Oven won't heat up. I've pulled the bake element and checked its continuity, it's ok (~22 ohms resistance). Thermostat works fine. Broiler works fine. From this, I'm pretty sure it's not the overheat relay otherwise the broiler wouldn't work. Is there another over temp relay or something just on the bake circuit that would be keeping the bake element from working. I can hear the main relay engage when the oven is turned to bake and the controller indicates that bake cycle is 'on'.
Answer Peter, You will still want to check the relay to make sure that there is 240 vac when in the bake cycle. Even though the relay may click does not always mean that the relay is good. There would not be another temp relay that would cause the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, March 19, 2014
