W Reed N Kansas City , MO February 27, 2015 Shorted oven element I turned the breaker off. I removed my oven door, which is thankfully a toolless process and easy to do. Four fine-thread phillips screws were removed. I took the leads off the old element and put them on the new element. I replaced the screws and remounted the door. I turned the breaker on. William M Cornish , NH April 25, 2015 Appliance: Model THERMADOR REF30 Heating element blew up I ordered a new heating element from AppliancePartsPros.com after watching their video showing how easy it is to replace one. I got the replacement within a week. Just like the video, I unscrewed the old damaged element. I was careful not to lose the wires (actually used vice-grips to hold them just in case). I unplugged the old element and removed it. It was a little tricky pulling it out as the connectors were angled up. I tilted the element up to get a better angle for pulling it out. Dennis M Bridgewater , CT December 27, 2014 Oven no longer operating It was 3:30pm on December 23rd when the oven stopped heating. We had family arriving from out of town the next day and a large Christmas Eve dinner planned. It was an easy problem to visually diagnose as the heating element had melted and broke. The challenge would be finding a replacement, repair and have time to prepare our Christmas Eve family meal. A quick internet search came up with AppliancePartsPros, with the claim they would ship same day if ordered before 4pm. I immediately ordered the replacement element and overnight shipping. I still had my doubts given holiday schedules, office parties, and down to the wire ordering. I was delighted that in fact it shipped as promised. From Florida to Connecticut and installed in less then 24 hours!! Christmas saved by AppliancePartsPros!! Thank you. Dennis MacDonald (and family) Read More...
